Welcome to Advent!
For and About Children
Faith Together at Home
Welcome to Advent!

What an exciting time of the year! This is the time to make memories. What are your best memories as a child? Did they include making cookies? Christmas pageants on Christmas Eve? Tearing into gaily wrapped presents? Or was it putting up the tree and being sure you hung your favorite ornament in just the right spot?

As a parent of young children is it reading them a favorite Christmas tale? Seeing the awe in their eyes as the tree is lit? Putting out the manger and telling the old story once again?

As a parent of older children, is it making their favorite dinner as you wait for them to come home from college? Just being thankful to have the family all together?

For the next 4 weeks our Sunday School lessons will take your family through Advent and create opportunities for memory making. Each lesson has a short article about how Christmas is celebrate in another country. This week is is the Philippines. There is a craft.(This week goes along with our advent wreaths if you have one to make). There is an idea for service and a fun, more active suggestion. While you might not be able to do all of them, we hope your family will have fun with some of the ideas in conjunction with the devotional Pastor Ryan put out.
Faith Together at Home for this week. (Click here for this week's advent fun.)

Advent Wreaths (Two kids take a biblical, but humorous look at the meaning of the advent wreath)
