Dear Hannah,

The Office of Graduate Student Life welcomes you to Boston College.

We hope you are excited about beginning your graduate school journey and joining our community. Our office serves as one of the many resources you will have access to during your graduate student years.

We wanted to share some information that we hope will assist you in navigating this transition.

  • Orientations: We offer a New Graduate and Professional Student Orientation each year for incoming graduate students. This orientation is focused on the transition to graduate school, living in Boston, and the graduate student experience at Boston College. The Orientation is virtual, and you will receive more information, as well as access to the virtual site, on June 28. Your individual schools and colleges may also be in touch with orientation information for your specific academic programs.

  • Newsletter: The Office of Graduate Student Life (OGSL) will be in touch with you regularly over the summer and then weekly in the fall through our newsletter. The newsletter provides information about our programs and services as well as information from the schools and colleges and the University.

  • Social Media: We will also be sharing information via our social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and we encourage you to follow these throughout the summer and during your graduate career.

If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

All the best for a happy summer.

Sincerely,

Carole Hughes, Ph.D.
