CAAHEP is excited to announce a new staff member, Jeffrey Miller, who started as an Accreditation Manager on January 9, 2023. Mr. Miller's duties and responsibilities will include assisting the Director of Accreditation Services in completing tasks related to the Commission's quality assurance and accreditation mission, assisting the Committees on Accreditation and educational programs in implementing CAAHEP accreditation standards, processes, and procedures, overseeing the international eligibility review and CoA processes related to programmatic accreditation outside the United States, and overall support for the Committees on Accreditation and programs using the Accreditation Management System and Annual Report Management System. Mr. Miller is a full-time staff member who will support the Commission in achieving its Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan as part of the Accreditation Services team.
Jeffrey Miller is a higher education professional who has served in various roles, from student affairs to academic operations. His professional skills include program coordination and optimization, policy and procedure management, and cross-functional leadership. Jeffrey thrives when working with others, facing a challenge, and making a difference. His educational background includes a MSEd in Educational Leadership and Policy and BS in Social Sciences from Portland State University. Prior to entering the field of higher education and pursuing his degrees, Jeffrey was a makeup artist with a specialization in beauty brands and bridal makeup. Jeffrey currently resides in Portland, OR with his family, which includes his husband, Chris, their cat, Kidden, and their dog, Carol. In his free time, Jeffrey enjoys reading mystery/thriller novels, playing board games, enjoying a good craft cocktail, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
