Thank you to our third party fundraisers!

We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of so many community members who turn their own events and initiatives into opportunities to give back.

Our third-party fundraisers play an important role in helping us raise funds for local healthcare, bringing people together, having fun, and making a meaningful difference for St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Valley Manor and Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care.

We are grateful for every organizer, volunteer and participant who helps make these fundraisers a success.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie at the Barry's Bay Tim Hortons! An incredible $11,435 was raised during Smile Cookie Week, which ran from April 26 to May 3.

Over the years, Barry’s Bay Tim Hortons has raised over $89,000 from the sale of Smile Cookies for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.

Thank you to Andy Shulist and everyone who participated in the June 28 Euchre Tournament in Renfrew!

160 players coming together in support of local charities, with $3,000 going toward Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care Services. Funds will help hospice provide compassionate care and support to our community.

Thank you to the ZHP Polish Scouting Association of Canada, who donated $1,000 to the Foundation this summer.

Money was raised through the sales of homemade bracelets to campers, as well as through a fundraising dance party for the youngsters. The donated funds will be directed to St. Francis Memorial Hospital to help with the purchase of a new X-Ray machine.

The Murichson and Lyell Recreation Committee held the annual trivia night fundraiser on April 27 in Madawaska.

A number of teams took part and helped raise $2,000 for local healthcare needs.

Beautiful quilts and flowers adorned Hawthrone Hill Gardens in Brudenell on July 25 for a colourful fundraiser in support of St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.

Thank you to Ann Thistlethwaite for hosting Quilts in the Garden, which raised $600. These proceeds will go toward equipment needs at St. Francis Memorial Hospital!

Organizers of the 5th Annual Lorna Hudder Memorial Golf Tournament recently presented the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation with $3,128 raised during the July 11th tournament.

The funds will help support priority healthcare needs across our community.

Thank you to the students at Madawaska Valley District School specifically the Kamaniskeg House, for donating $250 to Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care.

The house had the most points at the end of the year, and voted to donate their proceeds to a deserving charity. Proceeds were raised through a number of fundraisers at the school during the year.

The graduating class of 2026 donated an incredible $2,000 toward local healthcare needs!

Money was raised through the Madawaska Valley District School Prom Committee throughout the year to help pay for their end of year celebration.

Money was left over, so they decided to support local healthcare. Thank you students and best of luck wherever life takes you!

As part of Phase 2 of the Emergency Department Redevelopment and Ambulatory Care Project, the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation office has temporarily relocated from its current location beside the hospital's Registration Desk.

You can now find us in St. Francis Memorial Hospital's Health Centre, near the family physicians' offices, in Dr. Galek's former office. Access to the Foundation office is through the

Health Centre entrance. Pop into our new (temporary) space! We'd love to see you.

Dropping off a donation? We can provide you with a parking token.

While our location has changed, our mission remains the same. The Foundation continues to operate and raise funds to support local healthcare needs and enhance patient care in our community.
