Welcome to Connie's StoryWindow
Enjoy this short story from an exciting day on the job for my husband, Phil.
I am delighted that you signed up for my occasional newsletter. Storytelling is a wonderful way to bring people together - be it a library, business meeting, family reunion, or festival. Listening together builds community. Hope to hear from you - and see you in the audience or maybe you'll join me for a workshop.

Welcome to this circle of Storytelling!
Cheers,
Connie
Ready to Tell . . . Ready to Grow?
Whether you're a budding or experienced storyteller, an attorney addressing a judge and jury, or a grandparent entertaining the
family, we can all enjoy a creative boost on our path. Storytelling is an art as well as a learned skill, and I love to work with people helping them uncover their story and bring it to life.

During the year, I offer "how-to" storytelling workshops both in Asheville and around the world. Participants develop and practice skills that help them deliver stories to an array of audiences.

I also offer private coaching sessions tailored to your professional and creative voice and needs.

Treasures Big & Small
On a walk with my friend Nan - by the shore of Lake Harriet in Minnesota - she pointed out a tiny door, complete with a lion's head brass knocker, tucked at the base of an ash tree. For almost 20 years, children have known just what to do - open that fanciful door and leave a question. When they return, they always find an answer written on fine silver-lined paper from the mysterious 'Mr. Little Guy'. Whoever you are, Mr. Little Guy, thanks for making our world more magical. People are hungry for stories.
It is a part of our very being.

Making Connections
Bead for Life, a non-profit dear to my heart, offers a helping hand to Ugandan women so they can pull themselves up out of extreme poverty. Take a look at their beautiful (and reasonable) jewelry, hand-made out of recycled paper.
A Treasure Trove of
Story Links
An excellent site for finding and researching the text of traditional world tales.
"I think one of the marvelous aspects of your workshops is that there is the kind of safe, nurturing and inspiring environment created which allows all of the participants to find within themselves a place in which they can truly be themselves at their creative best."
-Kristine Krozek

"I loved Connie's work. It sits right in the midst of your heart and gets comfortable. Listening to her is like having a large platter of the thing you like most in the world and enjoying it. I felt contented, sated, and joyful after hearing her tell."
