Welcome to Consumer Direct Care Network Washington
|
|
Dear <IP Name>,
The way you are hired and paid as an Individual Provider (IP) is changing. Consumer Direct Care Network Washington (CDWA) will become the Consumer Directed Employer (CDE) of all IPs. On September 1, you and your Client(s) will receive additional information on actions you must take for the CDE transition.
All IPs will transition from being contracted with DSHS to being employed by CDWA. Your Client(s) or their Authorized Representative will continue to be the managing employer of their IP(s). CDWA will become the legal employer for all IPs. We will be responsible for hiring, payroll, and monitoring expiration of credentials, like background checks and training. Once CDWA is your legal employer, you will still get the same wages, benefits, and other working conditions provided by your current collective-bargaining agreement (CBA), unless CDWA and SEIU 775 agree to make changes.

A Client you work with was selected to take part in the Pilot.
- As part of the Pilot, you and your Client(s) will have the opportunity to provide feedback regarding your experience.
- You may know others who receive or provide care services but are not included in the Pilot group. They will transition at a later date.
