From the ports to the Pacific Ocean to the Long Beach Peninsula, this corner of southwest Washington is Dungeness crab central. Pull up a chair and dine with us. Drop a pot and fish with us. And take a piece of the Pacific Northwest's crab country home with you.

Hit us with your best shot! Send your favorite local crab photos to through June 1 for your chance to win decorative crab gear from Hobo Junction in Long Beach. The winner receives a vintage crab pot, line and floats, as well as wooden bait boxes.

Razor Clam Festival: Just dig it!

Clam contests, a fritter cook-off, the chowder taste-off -- this signature event in certifiably clam-tastic! The annual Long Beach Razor Clam Festival returns April 29-30 and it's sure to be a blast. Keep an eye on Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife website for information on upcoming digs. But regardless of digging, this year's festival will be a blast.

So many shows, such little time! From the [pickled fish] restaurant to the Peninsula Arts Center, live music carries every evening on the Long Beach Peninsula. More live music can be heard at the Sou'Wester, Salt Hotel & Pub, Raymond Theatre, Long Beach Tavern and Pioneer Tavern, to name a few.
