Coming to Downtown in January!

Experience Mount Vernon is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement, beautification, and community development of Downtown Mount Vernon. Our mission is to energize and strengthen an authentic and uniquely downtown experience. We accomplish this mission through:

1. Our flagship, community-wide events such as, First Fridays, Johnny Appleseed Festival and Winter in Downtown;
2. Downtown business support and development;
3. On-going beautification projects; and
4. Strong community partnerships.

Experience Mount Vernon operates on investments and the generosity of our community and corporate sponsors and we would like to invite you to become a 2023 Investor.

Investment levels:

1. Friends of Downtown Investor: $150
2. Small Business/Small Non-Profit Investor: $175
3. Mid-Size Business/Large Non-Profit Investor: $250
4. Corporate Investor: $600

The Aesthetic Experience Committee presents a schedule of banner themes to reflect the character of Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas, as well as promote downtown and add aesthetic to events happening in the Central Business District. 

Memorial Day Banners are a way to memorialize a Knox County Resident who lost their life fighting in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans Day Banners are a way to honor a Knox County Resident who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Holiday banners are a wonderful way for your business or organization to send warm holiday greetings to residents and visitors to Mount Vernon. 

The Business & Non-Profit Banner Campaigns are a great way to graphically or symbolically showcase cultural and civic events, activities, or facilities of general public interest.
