Transportation Solutions
One-Way Vehicle Sharing Project

Would you like to be able to rent a moped or car for quick trips to see family and friends, get to public transit or possibly commute to work?

San Jose is considering allowing car and moped companies that offer one-way shared services to expand to the city. The service would initially be available in the greater downtown area. Users pay for the service by the minute or the mile. One company called Revel currently offers a shared electric moped in Oakland and charges 29 cents per minute. Low-income residents are charged 17 cents per minute.

If you are interested in learning more about these services, sign up here to attend an online presentation by City staff on:

  • In Spanish: Mondays, August 31 and September 14, 6pm
  • In English: Tuesdays, September 1 and 15, 6pm

You can also read more about the program at https://www.movesanjose.org/one-way-vehicle-sharing-project-summary/. Let us know what you think by completing a six-question survey here: https://www.movesanjose.org/one-way-vehicle-sharing-survey/
