An anonymous donor has stepped forward and is offering a $25,000 (USD) challenge match for Flourish. Flourish is MCC’s leadership development program to not only train and develop existing clergy and lay leaders, but also to develop a new generation of leaders within MCC. Under the terms of the Challenge Match, if MCC can raise at least $25,000 between 8 May 2025 and 31 December 2025, the donor will match the amount raised up to $25,000. Over the next months there will be several opportunities to raise funds toward this match. For example, one of the Worship Offerings at General Conference was dedicated to Flourish. In addition, the Fellowship Offering in October 2025 will also be dedicated to Flourish. But these fundraising efforts will not be enough to reach this goal. We also need your support to be able to reach the Flourish Challenge Match. Every dollar you contribute to Flourish through the end of the calendar year will be matched dollar-for-dollar until we meet the Challenge Match goal of $25,000 – that means your donation will have DOUBLE the impact! Please make a difference in the life and ministry of MCC by ensuring we have the leaders needed for today and also for tomorrow.
How does Flourish uses your donations?
Recently, Flourish sponsored people from Sweden, Africa, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Philippines and the USA to attend the GC2025 Transformational Weekend in Scottsdale, AZ USA. Flourish also supports many other programs such as Local Church Board of Directors Trainings, Mentoring, Respite support, Spiritual Retreats and many other projects. Another project supported by Flourish is Spiritual Direction.
