Cooking with Love

Community Outreach Program

For 30 years, Cooking with Love Key West has been a source of nourishment, kindness, and connection in our island community. What began as a simple mission to care for neighbors in need has grown into a vital nonprofit program serving hundreds of people each week. Through

the dedication of volunteers, donors, and community supporters, Cooking with Love has become much more than a meal program, it is a lifeline for many residents.

From the very beginning, the heart of Cooking with Love has been the belief that no one in our community should go hungry or feel forgotten. Over the years, the program has adapted and expanded to meet the changing needs of Key West, always guided by compassion and service.

What started with a smaller outreach effort has steadily grown into a large-scale weekly operation that continues to make a meaningful impact.

Today, Cooking with Love proudly prepares and delivers approximately 275 meals each week, to those in need with the majority going to elderly residents throughout Key West. For many recipients, these meals provide not only nutrition, but also comfort, consistency, and a caring connection to the community.

In addition to home meal deliveries, the program also provides group meals to Samuel’s House and the Neece Center for Men, helping support individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. By partnering with these organizations, Cooking with Love is able to reach even more neighbors who need assistance.

Each week, volunteers gather to prepare fresh meals, package them with care, and deliver them directly to those who depend on the service. Delivery drivers often share a smile, a friendly conversation, and a reminder that someone cares. These moments of human connection are just

as important as the meals themselves.

Cooking with Love is a nonprofit organization, and its work is made possible through the generosity of donors, local businesses, and volunteers who give their time, resources, and hearts to the mission. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every act of kindness helps keep this important ministry moving forward.

As Cooking with Love celebrates three decades of service, it stands as a beautiful example of what a community can accomplish when people come together to care for one another. With continued support, the program will keep feeding bodies, lifting spirits, and sharing love throughout Key West for years to come.
