An anonymous donor has stepped forward and is offering a $25,000 (USD) challenge match for Flourish. Flourish is MCC’s leadership development program to not only train and develop existing clergy and lay leaders, but also to develop a new generation of leaders within MCC. Under the terms of the Challenge Match, if MCC can raise at least $25,000 between 8 May 2025 and 31 December 2025, the donor will match the amount raised up to $25,000. Every dollar you contribute to Flourish through the end of the calendar year will be matched dollar-for-dollar until we meet the Challenge Match goal of $25,000 – that means your donation will have DOUBLE the impact! Please make a difference in the life and ministry of MCC by ensuring we have the leaders needed for today and also for tomorrow.

Fellowship Sunday: Commemorating the First Sunday Service of MCC

We are all part of MCC because Rev. Troy Perry held the first Worship service of MCC on Sunday, 6yh October, 1968. We celebrate Fellowship Sunday on the Sunday closest to that date, which is Sunday, 5th October, marking our 57th anniversary! Some of our churches celebrate Fellowship Month using the month of October to highlight our shared history, leaders past and present, accomplishments, and programs.

Each year, MCC congregations are encouraged to hold a special offering for the denomination for Fellowship Sunday or Fellowship Month. This year’s offering will be dedicated to Flourish, which is MCC’s leadership development program to train and develop existing clergy and lay leaders, bas well as a new generation of leaders within MCC.

This is a great time to give to Flourish because right now we have a Challenge Match whereby the first $25,000 raised for Flourish will be matched dollar-for-dollar until we meet the Challenge Match goal of $25,000 – that means any Fellowship Sunday offering will have DOUBLE the impact! Make a difference by ensuring that MCC has the leaders needed for today and also for tomorrow.

Biblical Hebrew

for beginners!

Want to deepen your understanding of Scripture and be able to read it in the original languages? Dr. Jordan Dyck has been teaching biblical languages at seminary level since 2007, and Flourish is partially funding courses in Biblical Hebrew for MCC clergy (and those in training), beginning this October.

The classes will be weekly for 10 (ten) weeks and the total cost is $240. Flourish will sponsor half of the cost leaving each participant to cover the balance of $120 USD.
