Shalom new HLA Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you are preparing to enjoy an exciting and refreshing summer vacation.

I'm delighted to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the entire HLA team as you join our community for the 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to providing your child(ren) with rigorous academic instruction while nurturing and caring for their overall well-being.

This will be my 8th year serving at HLA, and my 10th year working in schools. As a lifelong educator, I know that a strong partnership with you

will make a great difference in your child(ren)’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our students success and want you to know that we will do our very best.

HLA is a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for every one of our students so that they can reach their fullest potential. Many students graduate and go on to specialized high schools and some are attending Ivy League universities!

Please know that my door is always open to you. I always welcome your input throughout the coming school year.

I hope you enjoy your summer vacation and I look forward to seeing you all in September!

All the best,

Daniella Steinberg

Bussing Reminders

We will be sharing more information later in the summer regarding bus stop locations for the 23-24 school year as well as the directions for selecting a stop for your child(ren).

As a reminder, please remember that:

Bussing transportation eligibility is based on a student’s grade level, distance between home and school, medical conditions, and housing status. Each public school partners with the Office of Pupil Transportation in July to submit families’ requests for bussing based on their address. The OPT is the final approver for bussing transportation eligibility. Results on eligibility are typically confirmed in late-July and early-August. Visit this link to learn more about eligibility requirements:
