A Message from Founder and CEO Bernadette Fernandez

Happy Financial Literacy Month and welcome to IEYF's first monthly newsletter! I am so excited to begin this new adventure with you. As most of you know, I am the owner of Imagine Etiquette, Inc., and for eight years, I have had the opportunity to teach students, kindergarten through 12th-grade, social etiquette, leadership, confidence building, and life skills, including financial literacy via my SEVA™ Enrichment programs. The knowledge I was able to provide to my students is immeasurable and it has helped prepare students with the tools they need outside of the classroom.

However, as the SEVA™ Enrichment Program was only in schools, the pandemic forced me to restrategize and restructure my base by pivoting my focus not only on students who participate in my school programs but by creating a summer program for students who could not afford to attend otherwise. And in most cases, the students that could not afford to enroll in my programs were the students that would benefit from it the most. Thus, Imagine Etiquette Youth Foundation (IEYF) was established to encourage economic empowerment through its "Behavioral Finance and Lifestyle" Summer Program.

So here we are! This is where IEYF comes into action. The non-profit arm of what we started years ago will help provide access for disadvantaged students to financial literacy and additional lifestyle courses offered through IEYF's summer camp.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our sister non-profit organization. Our values and goals are the same, but IEYF focuses on encouraging economic empowerment to the untapped audience in the community. We will send updates and news highlighting IEYF's programs, students, and events to your inbox each month.

If you would like more information about IEYF's summer program and scholarships for students, please email me at or call me at 424.331.5275.

Many thanks for your support.

Our Mission
Imagine Etiquette Youth Foundation's mission is to lifestyle courses for disadvantaged youth through programs that teach basic and advanced skills necessary to successfully navigate life and reach one's full potential. Core to IEYF is the fundamental goal to encourage economic empowerment.
About Us
IEYF is the sister organization to Imagine Etiquette, Inc. and was established to provide a pathway, regardless of ability to pay, to gaining the skills necessary to enter adulthood successfully. In order to escape the cycle of poverty that many children of color are born into they must become proficient at managing finances.
IEYF Summer Program
2022 In-Person Camp
We are excited to announce that IEYF will host its first annual summer camp at Century Charter Community Middle School, July 11-31, 2022.

IEYF's "Behavioral Finance & Lifestyle'' Program will provide financial literacy and lifestyle courses. Each skill is equally essential to achieving economic empowerment.

Thank you to Principal Dana Means for allowing us to host our first annual summer camp for 125 Century Community Charter students. We genuinely appreciate your support!

Century Community Charter is one of the cutest schools. Ms. Means, teachers, and staff are excellent. I enjoyed teaching my SEVA™ Enrichments Programs to the students this past school year. If you are looking for a middle school to enroll your child, please visit the website below.
From Intern to Employee
Jaylen Wilson, Office Assistant
Ms. Fernandez and IEYF’s team are proud to announce our new office assistant Jaylen Wilson. Jaylen was hired through South Bay One-Stop, an organization that matches young adult workers with businesses.

Jaylen began working for Imagine Etiquette, Inc. last year as an intern. We knew Jaylen was a match from his first day as an intern. He is an intelligent, hard-working, ambitious, and well-mannered young man. We had two outstanding candidates from South Bay One-Stop. However, Jaylen was the perfect candidate for our new office assistant for IEYF. We are thrilled and honored that Jaylen accepted our offer and is officially a member of IEYF’s team.

Jaylen is a sophomore at Cal State Dominquez Hills and is majoring in Business Management.

Thank You to IEYF's Sponsors
Each year, Amgen commits significant financial support and product donations to help make a difference in people's lives.

Amgen's corporate giving initiatives are very diverse: research grants and fellowships; medical education grants; donations of cash, product and equipment; community involvement through corporate sponsorships; and cash donations and volunteerism by Amgen staff members.

In addition, the Amgen Foundation gives grants and matches staff donations to eligible non-profits.

We are thrilled Amgen sponsored IEYF's 2022 "Behavioral Finance & Lifestyle" Summer Camp.
In October 2020, JPMorgan Chase announced a $30 billion Racial Equity Commitment to help close the racial wealth gap among Black, Hispanic, and Latino communities.

The firm is bringing together its business, philanthropy, policy, and data expertise to advance racial equity and drive inclusive growth.

We are proud to announce JPMorgan Chase sponsored IEYF's 2022 "Behavioral Finance & Lifestyle" Summer Camp.
