Winter Coat Drive Helps Those In Need

The Basilica Shrine, the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal, and the Vincentians of the Eastern Province, USA, are eternally grateful for the tremendous generosity of our Miraculous Medal Family during the Christmas season. Thanks to you, we were able to deliver hundreds of donated coats to Face to Face Germantown, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that works in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Church and the Daughters of Charity to provide food, clothing, and social services to people in need. Your donations will help keep hundreds of people warm this winter. God bless you!

Special Events at the Basilica Shrine

January is a transitional time in the liturgical year when we complete the celebratory Christmastide period and look ahead to the solemn reflections of Lent. At the Basilica Shrine, January 2024 brings the introduction of new recurring programs and the renewal of annual observances. Perpetual Novena Livestreams Resume

The Basilica Shrine is pleased to announce that starting on Jan. 8, we will resume livestreaming our Perpetual Novena and Holy Mass service each Monday at 12:05 p.m. (Eastern time, USA).

As many of our followers are aware, we made the difficult decision last year to suspend these weekly broadcasts and re-focus limited resources on other vital Basilica Shrine programs and initiatives. Since then, some of you have contacted us asking us to resume the livestreams. Thanks to the generous support of our Miraculous Medal Family, we are now able to fulfill your requests.

These broadcasts will be shown exclusively on the Basilica Shrine's YouTube channel.

The Perpetual Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is a timeless devotion to Our Blessed Mother instituted by Fr. Joseph A. Skelly, CM, at the Basilica Shrine on Dec. 8, 1930.
