After leaving the US Army, Captain Ken Moody entered the hunting business & in 1994, followed his dream and traveled to South Africa to open a safari company. Hiring an accountant to legally register the company & employing a licensed outfitter, Ken Moody Safaris was born.
Hunting primarily in the lowveldt of South Africa, Ken moved north to the Musina area in 2001 & purchased a ranch from which to base his hunting operation. Securing 50,000 acres of exclusive hunting lands, Ken Moody Safaris hunted the area for eight years as well as conducting hunts in Zimbabwe, Namibia, & Mozambique.
As the indigenous land claims on private properties in South Africa began to surge in the mid to late 2000s, Ken sold his ranch & began to secure hunting areas through exclusive contracts within the Limpopo Province, while still maintaining options in Zimbabwe & Mozambique. Wherever the best hunting was, Ken Moody Safaris was there. This model has proven greatly successful over the years & today allows us the flexibility to take advantage of quality hunting opportunities as they arise.
Ken Moody Safaris currently hunts three provinces in South Africa, providing the same outstanding service & results that have carried the company through nearly thirty years of successful operations.
