Dear LNC Families,
We are pleased to announce Mr. Nicholas Carlascio as LNC’s new middle school principal! Mr. Carlascio was the standout selection in a very deep and qualified candidate pool, and we feel fortunate to have secured such a strong successor to Dr. Graham, who is transitioning to LNC’s Director of Academics, supporting K-12 academic initiatives.
Mr. Carlascio brings 20 years of education experience to LNC, 14 of which have been in administration at both CMS and Kannapolis City Schools. During his extensive career, Mr. Carlascio has been repeatedly recognized for improving student growth, most recently while serving as principal at Kannapolis Middle School where he led the school from “low performing” status to “exceeding growth.” Mr. Carlascio’s professional accomplishments are long and distinguished, including being selected Kannapolis City Schools Principal of the Year in 2015 and finalist for the CMS District Teacher of the Year earlier in his career.
Principal Carlascio has a strong desire to serve in the Lake Norman community where he resides with his family and is excited to have the opportunity to lead such an accomplished school boasting a skilled staff deeply committed to their students. Additionally, Mr. Carlascio has both passion and experience with serving the “whole child,” which complements our THRIVE focus.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Carlascio to his position at LNC next month, and we will share a date and time for our families to meet him once the exact timing is known. In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy your summer break.
