Hello Lakeview Family,

I hope you enjoyed the hot weekend!

This week our students will take the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T) for ELA and Math. On Tuesday they will take the ELA assessment and on Friday they will take the math during the first two periods of the day. Please encourage your students to do their best.

Thank you to all who have completed the Parent Consent Forms. If you still have to complete them, you may go to your Skyward account, click on online forms and they will show up on the right of the screen.

We appreciate everyone following the carloop traffic pattern. This has allowed us to keep traffic flowing quickly and avoid blocking Tildenville School Rd. For the safety of our students, please don’t drop off your students prior to 9 a.m. and wait until adults are outside to receive them.

Have you joined our amazing PTSO? You can find the membership form on our website by clicking on Parents and then PTSO. The grade level with the most memberships by the end of September is going to get a treat during lunch.

If you don’t receive our OCPS text messages, I encourage you to sign up by texting the word YES, to the number 68453.

The use of cell phones and headphones are not allowed during the school day. If confiscated a parent will have to pick them up.

Espero que hayan disfrutado el fin de semana caluroso!

Esta semana, nuestros estudiantes tomarán la Evaluación de Pensamiento Estudiantil de Florida (F.A.S.T) para ELA y Matemáticas. El martes tomarán la evaluación de ELA y el viernes tomarán la de matemáticas durante los dos primeros períodos del día. Por favor animen a sus estudiantes a hacer lo mejor que puedan.

Gracias a todos los que han completado los formularios de consentimiento de los padres. Si aún tiene que completarlos, puede ir a su cuenta de Skyward, hacer clic en los formularios en línea (online forms) y aparecerán a la derecha de la pantalla.

FCA Club

Lakeview Middle School has an FCA Club. The first event is in September, and it's called "See You At The Pole." After SYATP, FCA will meet twice a month. For more information contact Coach Adams at 5122273 or 407-760-4337.

We appreciate all of those who have already become PTSO Members for the 2022-2023 school year!

If you join PTSO between July 25th – September 30th you will be entered in our 2022-2023 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE CONTEST!

The grade with the largest membership recruitment will receive a lunchtime dessert party!

And all paid members as of September 30th will be entered into a drawing for a new LMS School Spirit Shirt!

Raising Money for Lakeview

Just by doing your regular shopping, all families can help raise money for our school. Here are some ways:

1st- if you shop on Amazon, make sure you go to smile.amazon.com and click on Lakeview Middle School Parent Teacher Organization. It doesn't cost anything and Lakeview gets a percentage back.

2nd- Download the Box Tops for Education app. After you're done shopping, scan your receipt and the school will get money. If you buy Pillsbury, General Mills, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Nature Valley and many more products, the school will get money. If you're not sure if you purchased anything that qualifies, just scan the receipt. There are about 800 students here at Lakeview, if every family did it that would be a lot of money for the school.

3rd- Come out and support our monthly Spirit Nights at different restaurants.

4th- Join PTSO. If you join by September 30, the grade level with the most participation will get a reward.
