Feeling new?.. Welcome to MC² !!

We turn prevention science into ACTION

I wanted to personally reach out and provide a warm welcome to MC²!

Whether you know all about us (or are brand new!) Here's a little background:

MC² (MC Squared) is a community coalition promoting the healthy development of young people by implementing high-quality preventative programs right here in Marquette County.

We follow the "Communities That Care" (CTC) prevention model, and we're the product of years of prevention science, research, and collaboration.

Learn more about the CTC model

The MC² process begins with a biennial youth survey to identify Marquette County risks and strengths. Based on that data, we select tested and effective prevention programs- while amplifying programs that are already working!

Everything we do has a targeted focus to assure that we are supporting programming that we actually need and will make a real difference.

Overall- We want to support and provide young people with opportunities, skills, and recognition that strengthens bonds with school and their community.

Strong bonds motivate healthy standards and positive behavior (reducing all the stuff we DON'T want!- Substance abuse, suicide, etc.)

I'm THRILLED to have you on board!
