Greetings! We have a big week ahead as we welcome the 5th graders from our cluster elementary schools this week. Additionally, we will host the 5th Grade Parent Night on Thursday of this week at 6:30pm. We encourage all parents to arrive early as we have a full evening planned.
On Friday of this week our Connections Preference survey will close for all students. If you haven't yet talked with your child about their interests for their yearlong connection class for next year, please do so this week. All students will have an opportunity this week to be in a lab to complete the survey. You can also complete this survey at home at this

To our current 6th and 7th grade parents
Connections offering for next year
Students will have an opportunity to complete the preference survey this week at school. Hopefully you have taken the time to have a conversation with your student about the options. If duplicate surveys are submitted, the most recent will be used for placement purposes. Students will be provided access to a preference survey where they will rank their top choices for their yearlong connection classes for the 2018-19 school year. Every student is required to take at least one yearlong connection class at Trickum. We will make every effort to place each student in one of their top four choices; although, that placement cannot be guaranteed.

We have another winner in the house!
The Appalachian Mountains run through which state: Georgia or Mississippi?
I bet Craig Nowak knew! Craig, 7th grade, was our TMS Geography Bee winner. He advanced to the next round and took a written test that was submitted to the National Geographic Society. Based on the results, Craig qualified to compete in the State of Georgia competition. The State competition will be held April 6th. Let's cheer Craig on to victory at State.
