Welcome to Monday Mail!
From the Principal
Greetings!

Fifth graders are in the building today!! Today kicks off the visits for the rising 6th grade class from our feeder Elementary Schools as they begin the transition to middle school. It's always an exciting time when the 5th graders come to visit. After the visits, we will host our rising 6th grade parent night on Monday, March 9th beginning at 6:30pm. Here is a link to all the 5th grade articulation process documents. Please share with your friends.

Thank you to all of you who came out this past weekend and supported our Parkview Cluster Foundation Team in the Run the Reagan event. We met our goal and had a good time in the process. The next PCF event is the annual Dodgeball tournament on Thursday, March 26th in the Parkview gym. Please come out and support all your cluster schools as we work hard to dodge balls in an effort to raise money for the Parkview Cluster Foundation.
Congratulations to Trickum's Readers Rally Team for winning 3rd in the division at this year's competition!

Way to Go!
The 2020 Census is fast approaching, and the ability to obtain a complete count of all Georgians through the Census will have an impact on everything from school meals to special education funding. This is an issue of enormous importance to Georgia’s public education system.

In Georgia, everyone counts! Please join in ensuring a complete count in the 2020 Census.

H ave you signed up for the Parent Portal?
GCPS’ Parent Portal serves as a valuable tool and resource for information about your child and his or her academic career. In order to update your parent contact information and other critical school information, you will need a parent portal account. If you have not requested a parent portal account, please do so using the attached form. Bring the completed form to school with your ID to verify your identity and complete the process.

Parents: Please take the time to set up a MyPaymentsPlus account for your student. It is a very important tool to have during the school year. The features include Meals & AutoPay, Student Account Management, Products & Events and Digital Forms. Not only will you be able to add money to the account for your child's lunch, but you can also pay for special activities during the year and also take care of signing documents and forms directly online.

Please click on the link below to sign up!

Keep an eye on your account!

Don't forget to keep an eye on your child's breakfast/lunch account over at MyPaymentsPlus. You can make life easier by setting up alerts when the balance runs low. Just look for the "Low Balance Notification" box, towards the top of the screen.

MPP also has a neat feature where you can use the "Auto Pay" button to automatically add a dollar amount of your choosing when your balance gets low.
