Our 8th graders will be finishing their trips to Discovery High School this week to participate in JA Finance Park. At JA Finance Park, students have the rare opportunity to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. Here, 8th grade students participate in an immersive simulation that enables them to develop skills to successfully navigate today’s complex economic environment and discover how decisions today can impact tomorrow. We are excited to offer this experience to our 8th graders as part of their Social Studies curriculum.
Ask your student how their experience was?

From our Superintendent:
With the November 6 General Election almost upon us, we have an obligation to do all we can to ensure that our employees, our communities, and the voting public are well-informed about the upcoming G.O. bond referendum. We cannot take for granted that you have heard about the school district's needs and how crucial the funding from this bond referendum will be in addressing them.
Informational materials are provided below to help us understand this ballot issue. As GCPS leaders, we have an essential role to play in providing good, accurate information to the people who will be making an important decision on Election Day.
