WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!!

The 2021-2022 school year is going to be a great one!
A New Beginning
By: Sarah Wang, 8th Grade, Student Writer

Welcome back Trickum Tigers! The 2021-2022 school year has just begun with all students in the building starting this week. I am extremely excited and looking forward to meeting new people and learning more! Online school wasn’t bad, but I definitely enjoy in-person better. We can do interactive projects and more activities in general when actually going to school. This year isn’t going to be the same as every other year, but that’s ok. Parents, students, and teachers: DON’T worry! Let’s try to have fun and enjoy this year. It’s been tough on everyone, but let's look forward to this year! I am intrigued and interested as to what this year will bring, and I hope you are too!
It was wonderful to have the new Gwinnett County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Calvin Watts stop by last week at Open House. We're excited to see him continue the great work we do in Gwinnett schools!

The Parent Portal allows parents to monitor student progress throughout the year. No more waiting for report cards to get an update on grades; you may simply check the Parent Portal at your convenience. Other features allow you to view attendance, lunch account balances, checked out and overdue books, and emergency contact information.

Student Data Validation/Change Process
The Student Data Validation/Change Process is online via the ParentVue Update Student Information tab within the Parent Portal. To ensure receipt of all school information updates, it is important that all information is reviewed and updated annually. Please use this feature to ensure all necessary contact information (i.e., emergency contacts, pick up lists, cell phone numbers, doctor numbers, and any necessary medical information the school needs to know) is up-to-date and accurate.
The information provided here is our primary emergency contact information, and it is crucial that we get accurate parent/guardian telephone numbers and addresses.
Supply Lists
Supply lists are available on our website on the Registration page.

*7th & 8th grade lists are complete lists; however, the 6th grade list is generic. Some teachers may have provided additional lists at Open House.*
