Welcome to Monday Mail!
From the Principal
Greetings!

Please join me this week in thanking the wonderful teachers at Trickum as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take a moment this week to express your gratitude for the work that each of your child's teachers have done this school year.

We have hit the home stretch with only 2 full weeks left in the school year. Stay connected to the Trickum calendar for the many events planned over these last few weeks. Our grade level awards ceremonies begin next Monday for 7th grade and next Thursday for 6th grade. Invitations will be coming home this week so be on the lookout.

I encourage anyone interested in being a member on our Local School Council to please see the story and nomination link below. This is one of the many ways in which parents can be involved in their child's school and school operation. The nomination period ends Sunday night and elections begin next Monday.
Local School Council

One of the most important opportunities for our staff and community to work together is through our Local School Council. Local School Council gives parents, businesses and educators an opportunity to serve as an advisory group for the purpose of supporting and improving student achievement. We invite all interested parents, businesses and educators to step forward to serve the educational interests of our students through Local School Council.

We are accepting nominations for representatives to serve on our Local School Council from June 2019 through June of 2021. We need parents, businesses (must also be a parent/guardian of a student) and teachers. If you are interested in serving, please  click here to fill out a nomination application . All nominations are due by Sunday, May 12, 2019. Elections will take place via an online poll that will be in Monday Mail on May 13th as well as emailed separately to Trickum families.

We will be electing two parent representatives , one educator representative, and one business partner. All representatives may run for additional terms if they so desire. Biographies of nominees will be available in the school office for review.
The results are in . . . Trickum has some AMAZING poets! There were many fabulous poems turned in for our Poetry Contest. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us celebrate April as National Poetry Month!

In order to avoid this situation, we strongly encourage you to insure that your child has enough funds on their account through the last day of school, which is May 22.

Additionally, if your child has a negative balance, we kindly ask that all negative balances are paid no later than May 22.
