Greetings! As the calendar turns to October, that can only mean one thing . . . . the PTSA Color Run fundraiser is underway. Our PTSA's only annual fundraiser is the Tiger Tie-Dye Color Run scheduled for October 31st. The only way this event can be the only fundraiser is if we have tremendous support. Therefore I encourage you all to see the information below and
sign your child up to participate is this wonderful fundraising event.
Fall Break is upon us this week and therefore that means no school for students on Thursday, Friday and Monday. We hope everyone enjoys the time off and that they have a safe and relaxing break. Enjoy!!
When we return from Fall Break 8th graders will participate in the PSAT 8/9 on Wednesday, October 10. Please have your student at school on time, with a good breakfast and ready to test. Thanks.

Parents...
Parkview football season is underway. We know our students enjoy Friday nights under the lights at the ball game. However, our middle school children are not permitted to enter without a parent, guardian, or adult supervision. Please do not drop your child off at the game as Parkview will not sell tickets to unaccompanied middle school students.

Gwinnett’s 8th graders have an early opportunity to set their course for college and careers.
GCPS students in 8th grade will take the PSAT 8/9 on October 10 at no cost. The PSAT 8/9 is a test that helps determine what students need to work on most so that they are ready for college when they graduate from high school. It’s part of the College Board family of assessments that includes the SAT college-admission assessment and the PSAT/NMSQT, a preview of the SAT. The PSAT 8/9 tests the same skills and knowledge as the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT, but in a way that makes sense for 8th graders.
