New Guidelines
By: Sarah Wang, 8th Grade, Student Writer
All students entered the building last week, and slowly, but surely, we are getting back into the habit of going to school. Trickum has set a couple of important rules that all students should follow. Today, I will be emphasizing on one specific rule which is, wearing your lanyards. Every student has received a lanyard with their ID in it by now, and it is crucial to wear it every day to school. This allows you to go to lunch and purchase food, as well as check out books from the library! Teachers and staff have been strict about this, but it’s to ensure safety and health within our school. It might be a little annoying, but I get it. I don’t necessarily like my ID photo either! But it’s for the best and we should all work to get in the habit of wearing it every day. A little tip to not lose it is to put it in your backpack once you get on the bus. Let’s all try hard to stay positive Trickum Tigers!

The Great Georgia Pollinator Census event is taking place this Friday and Saturday (8/20-8/21) and we need everyone's help. All you have to do is pick a flowering plant to watch for 15 minutes and tally the pollinators that visit it and then enter your data on this website: https://ggapc.org/
Happy counting!

Students are not permitted to transport medication to school. If you would like for your child to take any medication during school, including Advil, Tylenol or prescription medication, you must provide the medication to the school clinic worker and complete the appropriate paperwork. Parents must bring and pick up all medication for students. If your child needs an inhaler, please contact the clinic directly for directions.

Student Data Validation/Change Process
The Student Data Validation/Change Process is online via the ParentVue Update Student Information tab within the Parent Portal. To ensure receipt of all school information updates, it is important that all information is reviewed and updated annually. Please use this feature to ensure all necessary contact information (i.e., emergency contacts, pick up lists, cell phone numbers, doctor numbers, and any necessary medical information the school needs to know) is up-to-date and accurate.
The information provided here is our primary emergency contact information, and it is crucial that we get accurate parent/guardian telephone numbers and addresses.
*7th & 8th grade lists are complete lists; however, the 6th grade list is generic. Some teachers may have provided additional lists at Open House.*
