Welcome to Monday Mail!
From the Principal
Greetings,

Happy Monday! Just two weeks of instruction remain before final exams begin. The focus in all courses is the completion of the AKS instructional calendar. It's important that all students focus in order to finish the semester and school year strong. Teachers are offering many opportunities for remediation and mastery of the AKS. We are all working to ensure learning for all students, regardless of the situation.

Below is the final exam schedule for Trickum which begins on Monday, May 11th. Beginning May 8th, all courses will be preparing for the final exam each day until their scheduled test day. Each test will have a 24-hour window where the assessment is open for students to access at their convenience. Each day after the exam will be spent on remediation, reassessment and redoing work to ensure that all students master the content. There will also be opportunities for make-up exams should it be needed. The last day of school remains Wednesday, May 20th.

Our building remains closed to visitors at this time, however, we are present to address your needs via telephone at 770-921-2705. I know many questions remain regarding the end of school processes, however, we are going to hold off any communication regarding those items as long as the Governor's stay-at-home order is in place through April 30th.

For all rising 6th grade parents, please see the information below regarding our digital Connections preference process. The preference form opens today and will be available through the weekend. Please spread the word.
The High Museum of Art is holding a student art exhibit online. Two Trickum students submitted their art, and it has been posted in the exhibition album! Look at the talent and expressiveness! Great job girls! More to follow next week so please check back! In the meantime, you can visit the art exhibit album online here .

Digital Rising 6th Grade Connections Selections Session

We hope all students and their families are doing well during this time.

As we finish off the school year in a digital environment, Trickum will be hosting our traditional Connections Night digitally, including a digital showcase of the musical instruments available. Parents and students will be able to view advertisements from the year-long Connections teachers.

After watching the advertisements, students and parents can then make their selections via a Google Form on the Trickum website. The Rising 6th Grade Connections Form will be available on Monday, April 20th through Sunday, April 26th on the Trickum website.
