Greetings. This has certainly been a tough week within the Trickum community. Below is the community letter I sent late last week. I wanted to include it here to ensure everyone has a chance to read it. Thank you again for all of your support!
Dear Trickum Middle School Parents, Students, Staff, and Community,
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support and comfort provided this week by this wonderful community. From our heroic staff and our caring PTSA members to present, past, and yet-to-be parents and strangers in the community, the show of love and support for our kids has been overwhelming.
This week has been hard on us all but it also has been humbling and amazing to witness the resilience, strength, and love found within our school community. Our teacher is recovering well and hopes to be released from the hospital soon. Each day, our students and staff are focused on moving forward together from this event. And through it all, goodness shines through. I could not be a prouder principal than I am today. It's been said that good communities build good schools... I am a believer as this truly is an outstanding community and the greatest middle school in the nation.
Sincerely,
Ryan Queen
Principal

From our Superintendent:
With the November 6 General Election almost upon us, we have an obligation to do all we can to ensure that our employees, our communities, and the voting public are well-informed about the upcoming G.O. bond referendum. We cannot take for granted that you have heard about the school district's needs and how crucial the funding from this bond referendum will be in addressing them.
Informational materials are provided below to help us understand this ballot issue. As GCPS leaders, we have an essential role to play in providing good, accurate information to the people who will be making an important decision on Election Day.
