Welcome to Monday Mail!
From the Principal
Greetings!

Well, this is it. This is the final full week of the school year. Including today, only 8 days remain. Lots of activities remain over these last few days so be sure to stay connected to the Trickum calendar.

Final Exams begin this Thursday and extend through next Tuesday. Students will be on a block schedule with Language Arts and Social Studies exams being administered this week and Math and Science being administered next week.

Parents of 8th grade students - please see the note below regarding Carnegie Credit forms. Please ask your child for them tonight and return them ASAP. Feel free to contact your teacher(s) and/or the 8th grade office for questions.

Please take a moment to vote for our next School Council Parent Representatives at the following link. If you missed the nomination period, you can still utilize the "write-in" option on the ballot. The voting period ends Sunday night, May 19th.
REMINDER: As we approach the end of the school year, this is a reminder that students will NO longer be able to charge their meals. If a student does not have sufficient funds on their account now, they will receive an alternate meal until sufficient funds are applied to their account. In order to avoid this situation, we strongly encourage you to insure that your child has enough funds on their account through the last day of school, which is May 22nd.

Additionally, if your child has a negative balance, we kindly ask that all negative balances are paid no later than May 22nd.
ATTENTION: If your child has medicine in the school clinic...

ALL medicine MUST be picked up by May 22nd or it will be disposed of!

Summer Health and PE for rising 9th graders
Does your student need to free up his or her schedule to allow for band, theater, chorus, strings, or athletics?? If you answered yes, then you should consider allowing your student to take Health and Introduction to Lifetime Fitness (PE) during the summer of 2019 through the Parkview Community School located at Parkview High School. Keep an eye on your account!

Don't forget to keep an eye on your child's breakfast/lunch account over at MyPaymentsPlus. You can make life easier by setting up alerts when the balance runs low. Just look for the "Low Balance Notification" box, towards the top of the screen.

MPP also has a neat feature where you can use the "Auto Pay" button to automatically add a dollar amount of your choosing when your balance gets low.
Calling all BOXTOPS for EDUCATION Keep them coming.
Fundraising couldn't be easier
Did you know we get $.10 for each boxtop we collect? We have box top collection boxes located in each grade level's admin office. There is also a box in the media center. Save your Boxtops, bring them to school, drop them in one of the convenient boxes located in the school.   A super easy way for Trickum to earn money without spending an extra dime!
Interested in volunteering at Trickum? We have many opportunities to get involved: Activity Days, Color Run, PBIS Socials, Monthly Ticket Exchanges, Media Center, Box Tops, and more! Click here to see the options and to let us know where you would like to volunteer.

Thank you for supporting our school, our students and our community!
