Welcome to Oak Knoll! We are delighted to have you join the Oak Knoll community and the nearly 100-year tradition of Holy Child education here on the hill.
 
As a new family, we want to ensure you are set up correctly to receive various Oak Knoll communication and access our secure parent portal, myOKS.

Before the first day of school, you will begin receiving our Sunday morning weekly e-newsletter, On the Knoll. This newsletter comes out every week we are in session. Inside, you will find helpful reminders, invitations to upcoming events, and general school announcements. This weekly newsletter is our main form of communication with you while we are in session, so please check your spam/junk/clutter folders in case we land there. If our emails are landing in your junk folders, please whitelist our email domain by adding our different email domains as a “safe sender.” To do so, click in your email address book, click “new,” “add a new contact,” and add our email addresses (there are four, so you will need to create four new contacts):


MyOKS
 
A significant part of your Oak Knoll experience is learning to navigate the school’s secure portal, where you can access customized information about your child(ren) and the groups or activities you belong to as a parent/guardian.
 
What myOKS Means for You — ONE place to go to:

  • View your child’s teacher pages and assignment grade book
  • Access health forms and other important information on the Resource Board
  • Participate in any academic, community, or athletic groups
  • Check the enhanced calendar that can be filtered based on the types of events you are interested in
  • View the fully searchable and printable online family and faculty/staff directories
  • Set customizable notification preferences so you can be alerted to only the items you want to be and where you want to be notified
  • Easily access athletics data: you will see practices and scrimmages on the Athletics Calendar and each team’s page.

To access myOKS, visit www.oakknoll.org and click on “myOKS” in the top toolbar. Note: We recommend you bookmark https://oakknoll.myschoolapp.com to bypass the homepage and go directly to the login screen. Alternatively, you can save the myOKS URL above to your phone by adding it to your home screen so you can use it like an app.
You should already have access to your myOKS account through the enrollment process, but if you have trouble logging in, please do not hesitate to contact help@oakknoll.org. For step-by-step directions on logging in, editing your profile and notification preferences, etc., please visit www.oakknoll.org/resources.
 
Where to Start?
 
Please log in to myOKS, hover over “Groups” in the main menu, and click “New Families 2023-24.” There, you will be guided through all the essential information you need before arriving on campus in the fall (such as uniform ordering, important dates and deadlines, supplies, any summer work, and more). Please note that some dates and deadlines may occur over the summer, and this group page will be updated throughout the spring and summer. Please check back often!
