Hi Tim,
How exciting that CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort Family Camp is just two weeks away!
I'm Marcel, your Camp Director and Manager of the Phillip Island Adventure Resort. My staff and I are busy planning so that you and your family can enjoy getting away, connecting with others, and taking time as a family to reflect on the goodness of God!
Our Resort is your 'home away from home' during camp. Please have a look through our GENERAL INFORMATION GUIDE, which will provide you with an overview of what to expect whilst on camp.
CHECK IN begins at 3PM, but we will open early for arrivals from 2PM on the 27th December. Check in closes at 4:30PM, so please leave plenty of time and expect delays around San Remo. After arriving, you will be able to settle in, explore our grounds, and relax beside one of the pools before dinner.
Don't forget to bring a Family Unity Item! This could be matching hats, shirts, or another accessory, to show us your family's personality. Bring something fun to wear for our Mexican dinner and something nice to wear for our special Adult's Stream Dinner. The Teens will also need to wear something nice for their Teen Stream dinner also. See our PACKING LIST for more details.
For our mid-week family Rocket Challenge, you are invited to make your Rockets before camp (but don't worry if you don't have time, there will be opportunities to do this at camp too!). Download the official instructions HERE to ensure your Rocket has the best chance at taking out this year's longest flight, most decorative, or crowd-favourite titles!
Camp is packed with activities for those looking for an active experience. Alternatively, you can do camp at your own speed, and spend time relaxing and soaking in the scenery. Our infamous all-camp family-friendly competitions are back: which team will be the 2024 Regatta champs, who will be the Kings and Queens of the beach, and which family will win our Axe Throwing Championship?
Afternoon free-time activities include options to brave the heights of the Giant Swing, the Quad Flying Fox, or the High Ropes course. Alternatively, you may like to paddleboard, canoe, aqua-bike, shoot for a bull's eye at Archery, or relax at the pool.
The 2024 special programs include a much-loved Music Trivia night and our last night Carnival.
Our stream bible study programs will be held most mornings, and we have exciting news regarding this year's adult stream speakers. We are thrilled to announce that Steve and Naomi Chong from Rice Movement will be sharing and teaching this year at camp - find out more about HERE.
We are also equally excited to have Jess and Dan Hammond, from One Community Church to lead family worship with us.
If you have any questions in the lead-up to camp, we would love to assist you!
