We are also honoring three amazing people for their significant contributions to the LGBTQ+ Community in Rochester: Jaime and Sally Whitbeck, who epitomize what it means to be an "ally", and Patrick Pitoni of Trillium Health.

New Programming for Care Givers

Caring for a loved one with long term illness can be a difficult and exhausting task. Maddie Barry MSW of Lifespan will be providing caregivers a chance to connect with others and get renewed.

FUNDRAISER AT ROAR FOR THE BIG QUEER PROM

The LGBTQ+ Youth of Rochester have their Big Queer Prom in early summer. It takes money to make it special for the kids. Come to a Fundraiser at ROAR on Friday March 14, 5-8pm. There will be dancing, raffles, and a drag show of course! All 18+ are welcome. Suggested donation is $10.

The first of the Activism 101 Workshops was so well received that Anne & Bess ran a second session. The workshops are designed to share helpful tips with new organizers, and to encourage concerned citizens to be ready to mobilize, with readable signs and good messaging. Get in the media!

WE DID IT!

The "Heart of Gold" Valentine Appeal was a great success. Thanks to many generous donors and a challenge match of $10,000 from Jim Moran, we met our goal. And we doubled the number of recurring monthly donors! The funds will supplement our reserve money, which seems prudent in these uncertain times.

The RSROC Community Center has become a vibrant center for LGBTQ+ life in Rochester. In addition to our programs, 10 other LGBTQ+ organizations use the space. Please continue to partner with us to insure this valuable resource remains available to our community.
