It Takes All of Us

We all have a role in helping to prevent sexual violence. To demonstrate your commitment to creating a safe and inclusive living and learning environment here at Queen’s, you are required to complete the It Takes All Of Us online learning program before September 7, 2026.

If you find completing the program online difficult due to personal circumstances, you'll be asked to complete a form to opt out.

Pre-Arrival Module

Before moving in, all students must complete the Residence Pre-Arrival Module. This short module will help you learn about residence expectations, available supports, and your role in fostering an inclusive living and learning environment.

Stay tuned to next week's newsletter for the link!

Before you bring it: Sustainable Move-In Tips!

Move-In is one of the most exciting days of the year! It’s also one of the biggest waste-producing days on campus. A few simple choices can help reduce waste, keep your campus community clean, and save time so you can focus on settling into your new home.

Here’s a Move-In Day hack you’ll thank yourself for later. Cardboard boxes and disposable packaging sound great... until you’re making your tenth trip to the garbage room. Skip the trips by packing with reusable bins, totes, suitcases, or laundry baskets instead.

Check out the newsletter each week for a tip on how to start the year sustainably!

Make sure your vaccines are up to date

Vaccines are one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and others from infectious diseases, including illnesses that are more easily spread in communal living situations like in residence.

Before coming to Queen’s, we recommend you review and confirm with your healthcare provider that all your vaccines are up to date, including Meningitis Type B.

In the fall, Queen's Student Wellness Services (SWS) will offer publicly funded influenza (flu) vaccines for the campus community. SWS can administer all publicly funded vaccinations upon request.

Get to know your Meal Plan

Your Residence Meal Plan works with the swipe of your student card in dining halls and retail food locations.

Your plan consists of 3 components:

  • 19 weekly All-You-Care-To-Eat dining hall meals.
  • 175 TAMs for when you opt to trade a meal from the dining hall for a meal on-the-go from select retail food locations.
  • 145 Flex $ – money loaded onto your student card to use for snacks between meals from retail food locations on campus.

Optimize your dining experience through these meal plan hacks!

You're GOOD TO GO!

You are automatically enrolled through your meal plan. You will receive a green carabiner clip in your Residence Welcome Package. Keep it on you daily!
