Join us for this 2-hour workshop for tenured faculty by Professor and NCFDD Campus Training Director, Dr. Anthony Ocampo, to learn how to chart your path after winning tenure. Participants will learn about common mistakes faculty members make in their early post-tenure years, the diverse pathways that faculty can take after tenure, and how to create a new mentoring network and support system to ensure success.

Faculty Covid Relief Grant
Deadline to apply: April 11, 2021

The Center for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion, with funding from the UC Office of the President’s Advancing Faculty Diversity Program and Chancellor Pradeep Khosla, is providing Faculty COVID Relief Grants of up to $2,500 to provide support to faculty demonstrating acute needs as a result of COVID-19.  Eligible expenses include work-related equipment, software, materials, and/or services.
Faculty Leadership in Diversity Grant
Deadline to apply: accepted on a rolling basis

Are you interested in advancing diversity and equity? Is there a conference, workshop, or other opportunity that would enhance your leadership skills in EDI? FDI offer small grants of $500 to $3,000 to support faculty who want to transform their knowledge around diversity into strategic action. Allowable costs include professional coaching, conference or workshop fees.
Career-Life Balance Supplemental Funding Opportunity

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has reissued an opportunity for those on active NSF awards who are confronted with a short-term increase in dependent-care responsibilities to apply for Career Life Balance (CLB) supplemental funding.

Caroline Freund Appointed Dean of UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy

Congratulations to Dean Freund! Caroline Freund has more than 20 years of experience in domestic and international policy institutions and has spent much of her career focused on academic research and policy in international economics. She has been a fervent advocate for the promotion of women and underrepresented minorities in the field of economics.
We are offering Faculty Peer Mediation services online. Mediation is an alternative form of conflict resolution that's informal (no paper trail), collaborative, and confidential.

The Teaching + Learning Commons’ Engaged Teaching Hub and Digital Learning Hub are offering regular drop-in hours for instructors. Simply join the Zoom call during the designated hours and a consultant will be available for an informal consultation or to answer questions. EDI offers Anti-Racism Resources to support your personal edification and discussions with students, colleagues, and teams regarding racism. If you would like direct assistance to address bias and racism in your unit, please complete the EDI Engagement and Resources Request Form and a staff member will reach out to you.
