Welcome to Spring Term!

OLLI at SOU's spring term begins today, March 30. We hope that everyone enjoys their courses this term. Don't forget: we have courses, programs and Shared Interest Groups with space!

To filter courses with open seats, visit Catalog Search, check the option "Display Open Courses with Seats Still Available Only" and press the red search button. This will show all the courses that have space.

Spring Forward with OLLI!

Spring is a season of renewal and growth, and our vibrant OLLI community of lifelong learners continues to flourish because of the support of members. OLLI is sustained by what we call a “three-legged stool” of support: revenue from membership fees, distributions from the Osher Endowment, and generous gifts to the OLLI Annual Fund.

Our goal this academic year is to raise $90,000 for the OLLI Annual Fund, and we are already more than halfway there! Your support helps ensure that OLLI at SOU remains a thriving center for learning, connection, and discovery for our entire community. Put Your Name In to Become an OLLI Council Director!

OLLI at SOU depends on the involvement of members in our governance and strategic decision-making. Council elections are held in May to choose three new Council Directors to begin a three-year term in June. If you are interested in adding your name to the ballot, complete the OLLI at SOU Leadership Position Form by Thursday, April 2. Please contact the OLLI Council Vice President Sarah Tisch at tischs@verizon.net for help with the online form.

Do you have knowledge to share with the members of OLLI at SOU, but want more information before launching into teaching a course? The Curriculum Committee is offering a three session course on Fridays, 9-10:30 a.m., starting on April 17, called Introduction to Teaching at OLLI at SOU. What are OLLI members looking for?
