East Branch Summer Reading Kickoff with Ed the Wizard!
Blast off into East's  ' A UNIVERSE OF STORIES '  with Ed the Wizard's  READING IS MAGIC  performance! This is a family friendly event for all ages, though probably best for ages 4+.

This event is on Thursday at 10 am at East Branch.
Storytime and Crafts at Davis Square Farmers Market!
Join Alison from West Branch for stories and crafts at the Davis Square Farmers Market, Day & Herbert Streets! Check out books, sign up for a library card, or just listen to story time while making a cute craft.

This event will take place this Wednesday at noon at the Davis Square Farmers Market.
Guess how many pencils are in the jar at Central!
Stop by the Central Children's Room to guess how many pencils are in the jar! There will be a weekly guessing jar all summer! The first winner will be announced July 1, and will win a key chain and free ice cream cone from J.P. Licks!
Collect Your Week One Spirit Sticks!
Check in at any library location between June 24 to 29 to receive a "When in Doubt, Go to the Library" spirit stick! Each week of Summer Reading will feature a new spirit stick.
Collect them all!
Summer Storytimes this Week
Storytimes are perfect opportunities to take in a few of our favorite books and activities before checking in for the week! Choose the storytime that fits your needs and schedule best:

  • Tuesday, June 25 at 11 AM at the Somerville Community Baptist Church at 31 College Ave (All Ages)
  • Wednesday, June 26 at 11 AM at the East Branch Library (All Ages)
  • Thursday, June 27 at 10:30 AM at the Central Library (Ages 3-5)
  • Friday, June 28 at 10:30 AM at the Central Library (Ages 0-2)
