Tech Talk 09.03.2024 Volume 13 / Edition 1

Greetings from the PA Presidents

Dear Brooklyn Tech familes and guardians:

Welcome to the Brooklyn Technical High School community! We hope that you all enjoyed summer break. We are thrilled to have you join us for an exciting and enriching new school year. Whether you’re a new or returning family, we extend our warmest greetings and look forward to partnering with you in support of our students.

In this Edition:

Led by our dynamic principal, Mr. David Newman, Brooklyn Tech is the largest high school in the country and ranks among the top academic institutions. We are proud to be part of a vibrant community where students are challenged academically and encouraged to explore their passions through Tech’s rigorous electives, unique majors program, championship sports teams, and hundreds of clubs. Tech’s outstanding staff and faculty support students in their educational journey towards reaching their fullest potential and joining a list of notable alumni in various professions.

You also play an essential role in your child’s success. All parents and guardians are automatically part of the Parent Association. Our goal is to represent and advocate for families while fostering a strong partnership with teachers and administrators. We encourage you to get involved and stay informed by attending monthly PA meetings, reading weekly Tech Talk Tuesday publications, and volunteering with one of our committees for an array of activities and events. We especially need your support through fundraising initiatives that enhance our scholars’ academic and extracurricular experiences.

Together, we can make a significant impact for Brooklyn Tech students. We welcome new ideas, feedback, and questions. Thank you for committing to your child’s education and being an integral part of Brooklyn Tech. We hope to see you at our first PA meeting on Thursday, September 19th, at 6 PM in the BTHS Leonard Riggio Auditorium.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Roberts & Kim Jalet
