Believe it or not, course registration for the 2022-2023 school year is upon us!
And, to make registration for our capstone programs and dual credit offerings as seamless as possible, we’ve created a landing page on the D214 website for all of your students’ course registration needs.

The 2022-2023 edition of the District 214 Academic Programs & Pathways Guidebook is back and better than before!
Why it matters: The APP Guidebook is our families’ one-stop-shop for all things related to course registration.

3. Accepting Dual Credit Applications
|
There are 76 dual credit courses - that’s 76 unique opportunities to earn early college credit - available to our students in District 214, and the dual credit application is now open for all of them!
A few things ...
🧭 Select the right year: Students must select the 22-23 Dual Credit Application. The 21-22 dual credit application is also still open for our students completing second semester dual credit courses, so picking the correct year is crucial!
📽️ Updated “how-to” video: This 5-minute video will walk you and your student through the dual credit application process. The video is also posted on the landing page!
🎯 The Target: To have all students’ dual credit applications on file by Spring Break.

4. Seeking Academy, Capstone, & Middle College Applicants
|
District 214 offers a variety of capstone programs that allow students to discover their futures through a rigorous combination of dual credit coursework and embedded internship experiences.

5. Now Hiring the Next Cohort of District 214 Apprentices
|
Apprenticeships give students the opportunity to earn escalating wages while taking strategic dual credit coursework toward a certificate, credential, or degree.
District 214 offers apprenticeships in 14 different areas:
The bottom line: If your student is interested in earning while learning their senior year, please encourage them to apply for a youth apprenticeship. All apprenticeship applications are due on January 15, 2022.

6. The Wonderful World of Work-Based Learning
|
The Center for Career Discovery is busy interviewing students for spring 2022 internships and simultaneously accepting applications for summer and fall experiences.
Why it matters: every District 214 student can and should affirm their career path by participating in a work-based learning opportunity like a micro-internship, internship, or apprenticeship.
The bottom line: Applications for summer and fall internships are due on March 18, 2022.

7. D214’s College & Career Ready! Night: Catch What You Missed
|
Videos from College and Career Ready! Night, which was originally hosted on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, are now posted and viewable on the event website.
Why it matters: These recordings are a great resource for you and your students as they begin to select their courses for the 2022-2023 academic year.
