Update from Dining Services

UW-Whitewater's Dining Services has been working the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state and local health departments to enhance its safety and service methods to safely provide tasty and nutritious meals for students across the various campus dining locations.

Here are some of the changes students will see this fall:
  • Expanded to-go options in all retail locations
  • Added to-go options in residence dining (all-you-care-to-eat locations)
  • Served food/drink only; no self-serve options will be available
  • New social distancing queueing procedures with traffic controls in each location
  • Seating areas adhering to social distancing guidelines
  • Increased cleaning protocols and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Barcode scanners at registers to eliminate exchange of a person’s HawkCard

For more information, visit the Dining Services website or contact them at 262-472-1161 or uww@aviands.com . For more about the campus plan for the fall, visit Warhawks Return .

A Warhawk Lives Here

A warm Warhawk welcome to Atra Kachaochana of Skokie, Illinois!

“Doing my college research I stumbled upon UW-Whitewater and it seemed like a great nearby option. With my luck, my high school chose Whitewater for some of the incoming seniors to visit. I took my chance and visited, and I absolutely fell in love. The campus was beautiful and very green, and the college town was gorgeous. The teacher-to-student ratio was just right, and the classes were not too big and not too small.

"I have a passion for language, speaking four languages myself, and the Spanish language program looks great. The cost is very fair for such a great school. When I found my major, I knew right away that’s where I was meant to go. So hopefully with my major in psychology and a minor in Spanish, I will either follow a pre-medicine track and become an OBGYN or go into education. I can’t wait to start my journey and become a Warhawk! 💜
