Welcome Letter

Verona High School

Dear Verona High School Students, Parents, and Guardians:

Welcome to the start of the 2021-2022 school year at Verona High School. It is my wish that you and your family had a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer. The entire staff is especially excited to start the 2021-2022 school year because, unlike last year, this year every student will be in school full-day, in-person, just as we were prior to the pandemic. This year will have its challenges, but we will be readily available to support your child and every child as they return to school.

We recognize that transitioning back to full-day, in-person school may be challenging for some of our students. Please know that our entire staff, especially our school counseling team, is prepared and eager to help any student who may be struggling as we return our school to full-day, in-person. If you need to speak to your child’s school counselor prior to the start of the school year, you will be able to identify who your child's counselor is on the Genesis Parent Portal.

Below, are the counselor's names and email addresses:

Please join me in thanking our wonderful custodial and maintenance teams who have done a great job preparing our building so that it is ready to welcome our students back to school. Also, please join me in thanking our administrative assistants, Mr. Ballinger, Mrs. Mejia, and Mrs. Torchia for their work this summer.

This email communication will make the best attempt to answer any questions you may have as we approach the first day of school. We kindly ask that you please read this entire communication and know that if this email is unable to answer a question you may have, we will be available prior to the start of the school year to assist you.

Below are links to the relevant information prior to the first day of school. We encourage you to please review the information in these links prior to the first day of school.

A successful school is a partnership with a supportive community. It is through this partnership that we inspire our students to be creative, critical thinkers and compassionate global citizens through dynamic teaching, meaningful curricula, and enriching experiences. We thank you for your continued support of our school.
