Welcome to Wellness Wednesdays!

A weekly space designed with your well-being in mind.

Each Wednesday in January, we'll share insights, tips, and activities to inspire and support your personal wellness goals. Join us on a journey to explore mental wellness.

What is Mental Wellness?

Wellness means different things to different people, but overall, it's about feeling good.

Wellness is not about the absence of illness or avoiding

stress; it's about having a sense of purpose, enjoying your work and play, having fulfilling relationships, taking care of your body, living in a good environment, and feeling happy.

Why Mental Wellness Matters

For the Mental & Behavioral Health Workforce

Mental wellness practices

can be a powerful tool for overcoming "Holiday Blues"—that lingering sense of sadness, loneliness, or added stress sometimes experienced due to financial pressures, personal grief, challenging family interactions, and even the shorter periods of daylight during and after the winter months. By prioritizing mental wellness, we redirect our focus toward actions we can take to feel, think, connect, and function better. This shift in perspective helps in navigating high-stress situations, preventing burnout, and fostering positive outcomes for children and their families.
