Opening Prayer
Loving God,
call us together as your people;
transform us with your love.
Transform our hearts,
that we may love generously.
Transform our eyes,
that we may see your grace.
Transform our hands,
that we may serve others.
Transform our spirits,
that we may be the body of Christ,
gathered to worship
and sent out to serve. Amen.

Message for All God's Children

Prayers of the People
Song of Preparation   Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying   TFWS 2193

Lord, listen to your children praying
Lord, send your spirit in each place.
Lord, listen to your children praying
Send us love, send us power,  send us grace.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer
Lord, in thanksgiving, hear our praise

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,  but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen.

Message        Love, Grow, Serve: Followers of Christ Together

Prayer of Confession
Creator God, you made us to be neighbors, members of one family blessed with great diversity. You created us to be helpers and friends to one another, entrusting to us your justice and your joy. Yet we have denied justice and joy to many, creating worlds of poverty, pain, lost opportunities, and absence of hope. In so many ways, we break each other’s hearts. Still, you do not reject us. We ask your forgiveness and pray to be transformed.

A Time for Silent Prayer

Loving God, you restore us to each other and to you, mending our hearts and repairing the world. Through the power of your Spirit, you shape us to be for others what Christ is for us: pardon and peace, new life and blessing. We give you thanks for your love, forgiveness, and constant presence. Amen.

Learn the stories behind these beloved spirituals.
We’ll listen to the music, examine related Scripture, and discuss biblical, historical, and contextual themes. Allow this deeply spiritual music to inform your advent experience. Advent Craft Drive-Through All Through Advent!
Join us for an at-home craft making Advent Fair. The first craft is an Advent wreath, it is simple, and beautiful and requires 5 cans (soup-type), so start saving them. On Sunday, November 22, stop by the church after worship and pick up all the other supplies to make your wreath at home. Then you’ll be able to light your candle each week at home as we light the one in the sanctuary! Rev. Michelle will provide a video tutorial to guide you. An Advent devotional will be available too. Three more craft projects will be offered on November 29, December 6 & 13, supplies and tutorial will be provided.
