Hello Again from Youth News!
Summer is almost here! In this issue we have some camp opportunities and fun events from around our region, as well as some links to employment and volunteering resources.

Youth For Youth Are Back!
The Youth for Youth Team are back after their short break, and are excited to be working on some fun events! Madison will be joined this summer by two new team members, Val and Karoline, and she can't wait to introduce you to them! Look out for their emails, follow them on social media, and keep an eye on the website for news on their events over the summer!

What's Happening?
Youth For Youth
Fun Independence Bootcamp
Join Youth For Youth this summer to have fun and learn (or practice) some skills!
Monday - Getting to know yourself Tuesday- Budgeting, shopping, (taking the bus) and cooking
Wednesday - Healthy relationships and internet etiquette
Thursday - Jobs, volunteer opportunities housing, life skills and life-long learning Friday - Celebration of accomplishments and trip to Montana’s Restaurant and Fleetway.


On With The Show!
On With the Show is a half-day afternoon camp for children and youth who have some experience in using Speech Generating Devices.
Participants will be supported by youth from the Original Kids Theatre Company in a variety of theatre based games and activities. They will rehearse and perform 3 short play adaptations which will be presented to an audience of family and friends on the final day of camp. Actors must be able to participate well in a group setting and follow a director’s lead.

WDDS has a fun summer of activities planned, contact them to find out more and see if they still have spots open to join in!

Friday June 7, 2019 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Camp Kintail
Hosted by Rural Response for Healthy Children
$10 per person

Campfire Circle, Outdoor Adventure Activities and Well-being SkillsTraining
Choice of Beach, Yoga/Meditation, Mindful Walk, or Mindful Apps, High Ropes and/or Expressive Painting

Busing available from Goderich and Clinton to & from Camp Kintail

Looking to Find a Job this Summer...?
Have you been thinking about making some money this summer? Babysitting, pet sitting, yard work, teaching a neighbour how to use social media? Talk to friends, family, neighbours to see what opportunities they may have for you!

Are you considering more formal paid summer employment? There are a variety of programs and funds to support your job search and training,

Maybe you are close to finishing school and are starting to look for more long term employment opportunities...there are lots of agencies out there that would like to help!
...Or Maybe You Would Like to Volunteer?
Maybe you are thinking about giving some of your time to help your community and gain some skills for the future...there are many places that would love to have your skills and support! Here is a list of websites to help with your search...
