Ways to Watch:

Dear Community Church,

Over the past couple of months, it has been a gift to learn alongside you—together with our pastors and staff—about this beautiful community we share. One of the things becoming clear is how deeply each of our three worship services is valued for its own unique character, and how important it is that we lead and pastor faithfully within and among them.

In response, we are seeking to hold two things close to heart: the needs of the congregation and the integrity of our worship. This means making thoughtful adjustments in how we show up across our services.

For example, this Sunday I will offer the Community Words in the Chapel service—a time to help connect the many threads of ministry across Community Church, which aligns with my role as Executive Minister. I will then spend time with C2, offering leadership and support to the band and lay leaders prior to worship. Rev. Jacob will join there as well and remain through the end of the service, while I make my way to the Sanctuary to share Community Words.

Our goal is simple: that each service is well pastored, including having a pastor present through the sending blessing (benediction), whether that is me, Rev. Jacob, Senior Minister or Rev. Bev, Minister of Congregational Care. And, creating the connective tissues that binds us all together in the worship of God.

We believe we are in a season of deep listening. Along the way, you may notice small changes—moments where you think, “Oh, that’s different,” or “There’s another shift.” Please know these are not made lightly. They come from careful attention, prayer, and a genuine desire to serve this community well. We also hope to invite you more fully into this shared work of leading and shaping our life together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or thoughts.

With gratitude and hope, Rev. Marta, Executive Minister

P.S. We have sealed the deal on a new Minister of Youth and Families, David Dixon. See picture and bio below! He will begin the first week in July 2026

P.P.S. We have also hired a new Sunday-Thursday Facilities Assistant, Blaine Stenvik. See picture and bio.

Rev. Dr. Marta Fioriti, Executive Minister

Welcome our new Minister of Youth

& Families beginning this Summer!

David Dixon has spent over 20 years working with youth, families, and individuals in both church and community settings. He holds a Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and has also pursued graduate studies in cognitive science and philosophy at the University of Central Florida.

Over the years, David has served in a variety of roles including youth pastor, worship leader, and director of family and Christian education ministries. He loves creating spaces where people can grow in their faith, build real relationships, and feel connected to a strong sense of community.

David is especially drawn to the richness of liturgy and the sacramental life of the church, and he enjoys blending those traditions with meaningful, engaging experiences for students and families.

At the heart of everything he does is a simple goal: helping people grow in their relationships—with God and with each other.

Welcome our new Sunday-Thursday Facilities Assistant

Hi C2 Community,

Click above to see the transcript from last week’s meeting, with a brief summary at the beginning to guide your reflection.

We will gather again for a Town Hall on Wednesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Community Hall to support each other and discern next steps together. Our aim is to move forward thoughtfully, aligning the needs of the community with the church’s broader mission and vision.

We also hope to form a C2 ministry team to collaborate with staff and pastors, represent the community, and help guide and implement next steps. We hope you return to this space for ongoing communication about C2.
