Tools & Tips: how to get accurate search results for your business or web site
Have you ever searched for your business and thought that you were coming up great in Google, almost too great to be true? Well, that may be the case. Google's algorithm "learns what you like" and serves you results based on your search activities.

So for instance, say your business is named "Golf Masters" and you frequently search for your company to see how your site is ranking and maybe to get to your website. Google is going to remember that you searched 100 times for the name "Golf Masters" and will serve you more and more results related to that name and site. So if you search frequently, your results will be skewed.

To disable personal preferences in Google search, type in the following code after the search results URL and press enter. Copy and paste: &pws=0

Example: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=imos+san+jose&pws=0

The page that appears will show unbiased results, which is your natural organic ranking based on the location of your IP address.

FREE Halloween Graphics!
Autumn is a great time of year, and a great time to create a connection with your clients and prospects. We have developed some Halloween images for your use, (fyi, these images are optimized for Dealer.com websites) to use them just click the thumbnail and download the images. These can be used on your website, email signatures, etc. It is always fun to theme your website for each season or holiday, this shows your customer that the site is fresh and current. A simple thank you and happy greeting show that there are humans behind the website, that are you just like them. Remember to post holiday messages to your blogs, be sure to include some photos of staff in costumes (even if they are from last year). We hope you find these tips and images helpful.
