Shana Bellow, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Bellow has extensive experience working in child and adolescent behavioral health across community, government, school, and medical settings in Virginia, DC, Louisiana, and Ohio. She received undergraduate degrees in psychology and cultural studies from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her master's and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati with a specialty in child and adolescent clinical psychology. Dr. Bellow completed her pre-doctoral internship at Tulane University School of Medicine with specialty focus on infant and young child mental health and pediatric hospital consultation. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Children's Hospital.

Desiree Pearson, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Pearson provides individual, couples, and family therapy to children, adolescents, young adults and adults. She uses an individually tailored eclectic and flexible approach integrating techniques from multiple orientations including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based stress reduction, behavior modification, motivational interviewing, relational and Bowen Family Systems Theory. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, academic and motivational difficulties, parenting issues, PTSD, ADHD/ADD, family conflict, body image issues, identity, cultural, sexuality and perinatal/postpartum mental health issues. Dr. Pearson strives to facilitate a sense of self-awareness, personal growth, development and self-agency in an open, supportive and safe environment.

Children can join this experiential workshop where they will learn breath and mindfulness techniques appropriate to their age to calm stress or agitation, minimize overwhelmed reactions, and reduce anxiety through simple exercises they can integrate throughout the day. Children will also learn ways to improve sleep, calm their nervous system and become more focused.

Nutrition for Stress Management
