A Message from Regional
Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo
Kane County Community,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! All nine of our Kane County School Districts are now back in the classroom, and on the behalf of the Kane County Regional Office of Education we'd like to extend our best wishes to all teachers, staff, and students.

At the ROE, we remain dedicated to supporting our school districts and educators as they lead, assist, and inspire in their communities. We are continuing to offer a variety of professional learning opportunities for educators via workshops, online courses through Illinois Online Academy , and the Kane County Institute Day.

The Kane ROE is also committed to celebrating the success stories in our schools, and will be continuing to facilitate the Kane County Student Photography Contest in the Fall and hosting the 44th Annual Kane County Educator of the Year Awards in the Spring.

In addition, we are excited to share that our schools have partnered with Batavia United Way, Kane County, the Community Foundation of Fox River Valley, and other local organizations to launch a 2-1-1 information/referral hotline in Kane County this Fall. This hotline will be a fantastic service for our students and families, helping connect them with social-emotional resources such as food pantries, counseling, and medical services.

If you ever have any suggestions or ideas on how to best benefit from your time in our districts,   please contact the ROE .

Thank you,
Regional Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo

The Progress Report is a collaborative discussion space for professional learning. Each post is written by Katie Algrim, the ROE's Director of Innovative Professional Learning. If there are any topics that you would like to see a post on,  please contact Katie Algrim.
