Join Dr. Carolyn Zachry, CDE Adult Education Administrator, at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2020 for a live webinar to kick off the 2020–21 school year. All adult education practitioners and staff are encouraged to attend. The live webinar will be a short 10 minutes followed by no more than 10 minutes of live questions and answers. The live webinar will be recorded and archived for those not able to attend. The archived webinar may also be used as part of your own welcome back activities at a later date. In addition to the Welcome Back webinar, California adult education will be featured in a three-part webinar series hosted by Burlington English.

Kevin Belcher at Corona-Norco and the App-Mazing Volunteers, in collaboration with OTAN, have designed a 5-page guidance menu with the goal of getting students back to learning. Explore this innovative menu with practical steps and resources for ESL, Citizenship, ABE, and HSE.

Important CAEP Reminder: Program Area Report Estimates Due September 1
|
|
The CAEP Program Area Report estimates are due September 1 and the actuals are due December 1. In preparation for this initial deadline, Tim Harmon, President of Workforce Enterprise Services, Inc. (WES), will discuss his analysis of the 2018-19 Hours and Expenditures report on Thursday, August 20th at 11:00 AM. The webinar will provide an opportunity for CAEP providers to ask questions about the results and recommended changes to reporting requirements.

Fall CAEP Regional Network Meetings Continue

The Fall CAEP Regional Network Meetings are going strong! Each meeting includes announcements and guidance from the CAEP Office and CAEP partner agencies, and engagement in rich discussions and sharing of resources on important issues impacting all agencies.
There are still three opportunities to participate in a regional network meeting. All CAEP practitioners are invited to participate in this collaborative environment. The structure of these meetings is designed to provide attendees with important information from the CAEP Office, CAEP TAP, OTAN, CASAS and WestEd, then open sharing and discussion.
