Welcome to the 2020 Summer Term: It's Not Too Late To Register

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic health emergency and continued social distancing restrictions, NOCE will offer summer classes in an online format. The health and safety of our employees and students are of the highest importance.

Student Leadership Program
Apply Today to be an NOCE Student Leader

The NOCE Student Leadership Program is designed to develop leaders to be actively involved in their school to better serve students. Student leaders will:
  • Gain valuable experience serving on a school committee or workgroup
  • Be coached and guided by a mentor
  • Earn a certificate upon completion of the student leadership assignment
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, events, and workshops
  • Have access to a network of school faculty, staff, and administrators 
The application submission period is open now until September 18, 2020.

Supreme Court DACA Ruling
Recently, the US Supreme Court made a historic decision to uphold the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that provides a path to citizenship and many benefits to undocumented students. DACA created a culture of openness and acceptance, bringing undocumented residents, who came to the U.S. as children, hope for continuing their education and entering a career of their dreams.
 
While this is an undeniable victory for DACA recipients, much work remains to be done to ensure the permanency of the DACA program. Following are some resources for more information and assistance:

Dream Your Future Webinar Series
NOCE students are invited to view any or all of the three sessions offered as part of the 2020 Dream Your Future webinar series. The purpose of the webinars are to encourage students and provide practical tips and guidance on transitioning to college. Students will need to click on the session title below to register; the link will then be sent to them via email. Topics include:

  • Session 2 - The Savvy Way to Choose a College Major and Career
  • Session 3 - Thrive in College:Financial Aid and More to Help You Succeed
