TRANSPORTATION
It's Almost Time to Catch the Bus
WebQuery helps you determine the schools a student is eligible to attend and the available bus stops. Type in your home address and the grade level of your child. The search should generate your child's bus number, along with the contact information of the driver. Your bus driver will be able to tell you specific pick-up and drop-off times for your bus stop.
A NOTE ABOUT DISCIPLINE

The school bus is an extension of the school building; therefore, all school bus behavior incidents shall be reported to the principal within one (1) school day. All incidents will be addressed according to the Tangipahoa Parish Student Code of Conduct Handbook. Students who choose not to follow the guidelines will be put off the school bus.
We have updated our Transportation Directory. Please reach out with any questions you may have.

SCHOOL MEALS
All students will receive free breakfast and lunch this school year in Tangipahoa Parish!

Tangipahoa Parish School System is pleased to announce the continuation of USDA Child Nutrition's Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/guardians will not be required to complete an application for meal benefits for their child or children.
🍎 Our August Menu is posted and ready to view!
We will post our breakfast and lunch menu on our Child Nutrition Page each month. Our students who normally bring their own lunch to school may want to leave their lunch box at home for the day, to dine in our school cafeterias. Use our menus to help plan out your week.
🥪We are bringing back the Sandwich Line on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
This should give your child something to get excited about for the start of the new year. The Sandwich Line Menu is now being offered to all students in 5th - 12th grade on each Tuesday and Thursday.

All Sandwich Line Menus come with a choice of vegetables, fruit, and milk.

Does your child have a special diet? Be sure to fill our our Special Diet Prescription Form for Meals at School, so that we can provide proper services to your child.
SCHOOL NURSE SERVICES
If your child receives prescribed medication or treatment during the school day, please reach out to your school nurse to update health records and drop off medications. The health and well-being of your child is a top priority. The medication intake sessions are designed to help students prepare for the new school year and make the start of classes as smooth a process as possible.

SAFETY AS A TOP PRIORITY
The new school year is quickly approaching! All summer, our team has been working to ensure that 2022-2023 will be a great year, and as always, the safety of staff and students is a top priority. With this in mind, the following measures have been put in place for the new school year.

Introducing Our New and Improved ID Badges
One way to ensure that the adults and minors on our campuses are in their correct places is to make sure that every person is visibly wearing an official TPSS ID Badge.

  • TPSS is implementing district wide ID badges for students and employees. This will immediately improve security on campuses because the badge verifies an individual belongs on campus, and those without a badge can be easily identified.
  • Student badges will include their grade level, so adults can easily identify where that student should be on campus.
  • Badges will include bar codes and QR codes that can be used for scanning into programs. For example: Badges will be used to scan for meals in the school cafeterias.

Temporary badges will be issued to 5th - 12th grade students for the first days of school. Permanent ID badges will be issued to all staff and students after school pictures have been taken.
School IDs must be worn everyday.
STAY CONNECTED
It's Time to Update Your Contact Information

You've been away for awhile, enjoying the slower pace of summer vacation; maybe making some life changes, or reorganizing and cleaning out your homes.

One of the most important things to make sure you have in order at the start of the new school year is your contact information. Make sure that your child's school has a working way to reach you.
Contact your child's school to speak to the secretary and update phone numbers and email addresses.

Once your information is updated, opt-In to receive important text messages from TPSS through School Messenger.
Tap the App to Submit a Tip to Tangipahoa Crime Stoppers

If you have crime or safety-related information which needs to be reported, share your tips with Tangipahoa Crime Stoppers. Your tip could help to keep your friends and school safe. Let's help to look out for one another.

Your tip is kept anonymous, meaning your identifying information will not be shared with anyone. Download the P3 App in the app store, make your report online, or call to speak to someone in person at 1-877-668-2421.
Give your School a Follow on Facebook :)
A great way to stay in the loop with school events is to give your school a follow on Facebook. Schools will post important information that will help you make the most of your start back to school.
We look forward to seeing you at school!
